Hello Sweet Sisters!
Are you enjoying the Psalms? I sure am! I just wanted to quickly re-post the reading plan for the rest of the month just in case you need a reminder! November Scripture Reading Day Chapter(s) 12th 14-15 13th 16-17 14th 18 15th 19-20 16th 21-22 19th 23-24 20th 25 21st 26-27 22nd 28-29 23rd 30-31 26th 32-33 27th 34 28th 35-36 29th 37 30th 38-39 " The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. Reverence for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the Lord are true; each one is fair. They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them." ~ Psalm 19:7-11 I couldn't explain the purpose, gift and truth of reading Scripture any better than it is spoken here in Psalm 19. God's Word is perfect, trustworthy, clear, eternal, true, desirable, sweet and a great reward to those who obey it. His Word revives our souls, makes us wise, brings us great joy, and gives us insight for living. I don't want to forget this. Keeping reading! Joyfully His, Andrea I love being married! I am so grateful that I get to start my day waking up next to my very best friend and every night I get to fall asleep, snuggled up against him. I love being my husband's wife and I thank God daily for the gift of my husband.
As much as I adore my man, the truth is, I don't always act like it. The busyness of life takes over our every day moments, and I admit, I'm quick to take my sweet Hubby for granted. Lately, I have been pondering, thinking, praying, and studying God's Word on how I can be a better wife. What can I do for my husband that encourages him, helps him and supports him? How can I show him that I adore, love, cherish, and respect him? In what ways can I bring him joy, make him smile, or just make his day a little bit better? I want to put as much time, thought, prayer, and hard work in our marriage (of over 16 years now) as I did our big, beautiful, perfect wedding. After all, the wedding was just a moment in our journey together, our marriage is the span of our lifetime with one another. So, I'm embarking on a little journey. I am purposely working towards building my husband up in every way possible. Why? Because I'm his biggest cheerleader. I'm the one who has the privilege of living every day with him. I am the one he will look to for encouragement, prayer, support and love when the burden of the whole world seems to rest on his shoulders. I am NOT the perfect wife. In fact, I'm not even a bit close, and I know I'm going to fail and fall off the train many times. But....I'm determined to keep trying. I want him to know that when we said "I do" to each other all those years ago, that I (like him) meant every word and that I love him more now than I ever thought possible. "Then the Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.'" ~ Genesis 2:18 "So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep. While the man slept, the Lord God took out one of the man;s ribs and closed up the opening. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to the man. 'At last!' the man exclaimed. 'This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called woman because she was taken from man.'" ~ Genesis 2:21-23 Praying for God to bless each of our marriages today! Joyfully His, Andrea Good morning, Sweet Sisters!
It has been quite a while since I've been able to just sit, type and focus here on the blog. So nice to be back! Fall is in full swing and Thanksgiving is right around the corner! This fall we are going to do our best to read through Psalm. I will go ahead and put the reading plan up for the whole month, here. Most days we will read more than one chapter, as many of Psalm's chapters are short. I would also like to encourage you to write one or two verses for each chapter that speak to you. Keep a journal of your Psalms and use it to go back and reflect on them, often. Reading Plan for November: Day Chapter(s) 5th 1-3 6th 4-6 7th 7-8 8th 9-10 9th 11-13 12th 14-15 13th 16-17 14th 18 15th 19-20 16th 21-22 19th 23-24 20th 25 21st 26-27 22nd 28-29 23rd 30-31 26th 32-33 27th 34 28th 35-36 29th 37 30th 38-39 Phew! I know this looks like a lot of reading, but having it all right in front of me for the month, helps me keep track of my reading. We are still set up to read Monday - Friday allowing the weekend to be our "catch-up days" when and if needed. As always, post your favorite Scriptures and your prayer requests in the comments. I pray over each reader and I would love to pray for any specific requests you may have. The Lord has nudged my heart to encourage other women who are on the same walks of life as myself. My goal is to share encouragement to wives, mothers, and homeschoolers periodically. Mostly these post will be short and sweet, but I will add more as the Lord leads. :) I'm praying for each of you today and I am so excited to jump back into God's Word with you! "Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do." ~ Psalm 1:1-3 Keep reading! Joyfully His, Andrea |
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. " AuthorHi! I'm Andrea, wife to my handsome hubby, homeschooling mama to my 7 amazing blessings, and daughter of the King of kings. I am so glad you have stopped by my little piece of the web. My prayer is that the Lord will use this blog to encourage you in your personal, daily walk with Christ. Archives
