Oh, Sunshine! It's so good to see you! I've missed you these past few, dreary, rainy days! :)
Good morning, Sweet Sisters! I am so excited to share with you the details of our summer Bible study. I can't wait to jump in God's Word with you! Originally, I had planned just a two week break between our spring and summer study plans, but after looking at the calendar and counting up all of our chapters, I'm pushing our start up date, back a week. So, here are the details. Our summer study is starting early (in the spring) because it is a long - 13 week - study. Our Summer Study will begin, Monday, May 8th. We will begin in Genesis and end with Romans on August 7th. I know that's a lot. But remember, we are just reading one chapter a day, and we have the weekends to catch up. ! Between now and May 8th, check back here often. I plan to share my thoughts from our reading of Mark. See you soon! Keep reading God's Word! Joyfully His, Andrea

Back at Valentine's Day, I posted I Corinthians 13, a passage of Scripture known as "the love chapter". It is in that passage that we are shown exactly what love really looks like. Real, true, unconditional, sacrificial love. This love is to be freely given to everyone, but who in our own lives, gets to experience our love on a regular basis?
Our spouses. Our children. Our parents. Our siblings. Our extended family. Our friends. Specifically, who gets the blessing of your love each and every day? Those who live under your roof. For most of us, that's our husbands and/or children. As we finished Song of Solomon a few weeks ago, the last chapter spoke of the qualities of true love. I believe this love is for all of our relationships, but today I specifically want us to look at it in our marriages. "Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, its jealousy as enduring as the grave. Love flashes like fire, the brightest kind of flame. Many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers drown it. If a man tried to buy love with all his wealth, his offer would be utterly scorned." ~ Song of Solomon 8:6-7 In this passage, we see four, strong qualities of love. 1. Love is unyielding. Marriage is not always easy. It is a work in progress. We will have to work at our marriages for life, because we are two imperfect people trying to do life together. But maybe that's why love is so strong. It is firm, hard and it doesn't give under pressure. In fact, if we allow it, it can grow even stronger under the pressures of life. 2. Love is as intense as the brightest flame. The brightest flame is the glory of God. He is love. Love comes from Him and only Him. And He is intense. When we love our husbands, we are sharing the glory of the Lord with them. 3. Love is invincible. It can't be conquered, even when we are faced with difficulty. Now, we as sinful people can choose to walk away from it. When things get hard, we alone can make the choice to stay or go. We can choose love and make our marriage stronger, or we can let it go. 4. Love is priceless. We can not put a dollar amount on love. We can try to buy someone's love and affection, but it just doesn't work that way. Love can't be bought, it can only be given away. And with that, we have to let that be enough. As we love our husbands, we shouldn't do so with expectations of getting something in return. That's not love. Love is freely loving our husbands with no expectations. These things challenged me. I am soooooooo not a perfect wife. Not even close. I fail: Every. Single. Day. But.... I love my husband! I adore him! I am so grateful that I get to do this life, with him. I don't want to take him for granted. So, as I love on my husband, I want to remember these things. I am striving to love him the way God planned for me to. I'm praying for each of you. May God bless each of your marriages! Keep reading God's Word! Joyfully His, Andrea Hi Ladies!

This will finish up our Spring Study and we will take a short spring break for the next two weeks. Check back soon to find out all the details on our upcoming Summer Study. I'm praying for each of you, who reads here. May God bless you abundantly! Keep reading God's Word! Joyfully His, Andrea Good morning, Sweet Sisters!
