Family! I am so thankful for my family. They know the real me, yet, they stick around! :)
I am married to the most wonderful, handsome man! He is my best friend and I truly can't imagine my life without him. I've known him since I was 14 and I've loved him ever since. He's never let a day pass without telling me how much he loves me and how pretty he thinks I am (he's blind, but I love that he loves me). ;) He is strong, loving, hilarious, honest, discerning, thoughtful and so much more! I love my man!
I'm sure all you mommas out there feel the same, but I have the best kiddos in the world! I am so grateful that God saw fit to bless me with my 5 beautiful blessings and our sweet "glory baby" in Heaven. I'm thankful for my 3 boys who are full of energy, crazy ideas, strong imaginations, leadership qualities and a whole lot of fun! And my two sweet girls just melt my heart. I'm thankful for their sweetness, their beauty, their ability to make everyone smile and laugh, and the love that they bring out in our family. I'm enjoying watching all my babies grow and I do not take for granted what God has given me in these children. I know what infertility feels like, and because of that journey, I appreciate my children, who they are, and what they offer to our family and the world- so much more than I did before.
It is heartbreaking to me to know that so many children have and will grow up in broken homes, without a home or homes that lack goodness, hope and love. I don't personally know what that is like, but I know for so many this is a reality. I have been blessed with the best parents and I'm so thankful for them. they are about to celebrate their 49th wedding anniversary. They both love Jesus, love each other and do their absolute best to love and care for their children, 15 grandkids and 2 almost 3 great grandchildren.
I'm thankful that I have a large extended family on both my side and my husband's side. We may not all be close physically but we are there for one another when needed.
Family is important to me. In fact, family is my ministry. Being my husband's wife and my children's mommy is what God has called me to do above all else. I'm not always good at keeping my priorities in check, but I'm trying.
Father, I love you, and I am so thankful for what you have given me. Thank you for blessing me with the best husband, the most precious children, great parents, and all our family whom I have the privilege to love and serve. Thank you, Lord, for the gift of family. May I never take it for granted. In the sweet name of Jesus, amen.
Family would be considered a "big" thank you, so I want to share a "small" thank you too:
I am so thankful for hot, sweet, coffee. I can't drink it black, but stir in creamer, sugar and top it with whip cream and caramel syrup and I'm set!
So, what about you? What are you thankful for today?
"I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High." ~ Psalm 9:1-2
For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. "
Hi! I'm Andrea, wife to my handsome hubby, homeschooling mama to my 5 amazing blessings (with one more on the way), and daughter of the King of kings. I am so glad you have stopped by my little piece of the web. My prayer is that the Lord will use this blog to encourage you in your personal, daily walk with Christ.
